PetSmart Charities seeks lifelong, loving homes for as many as 14,600 abandoned and homeless pets during its Spring Adoption Event. Adoptable cats and dogs will be available at every U.S. and Canadian PetSmart (NASDAQ: PETM) store May 2-4. Contact local stores for specific agency hours of participation.
Each customer who adopts a pet will receive a "Welcome to Pet Parenthood" guide that includes information on how to raise a healthy and happy pet and more than $240 in coupons for dog and cat products and services. I beleive this article is PR related because of the PetSmart organization being local in Hickory so it appeals to the community. Also, there are so many people who love pets and it is a great chance for the public to participate in something fun and benefiting for animals. This event will be a big success I think.
